Bucket Browser for Debian 13

Desktop and standalone DRM packages for amd64 and arm64. This channel includes prerelease builds. The suite is stable and the component is main.

Add the repository once

Install curl and ca-certificates first if needed.

sudo install -d -m 0755 /etc/apt/keyrings
curl -fsSLo /tmp/bucket-browser.gpg https://packages.bucketbrowser.app/bucket-browser.gpg
sudo install -m 0644 /tmp/bucket-browser.gpg /etc/apt/keyrings/bucket-browser.gpg
curl -fsSLo /tmp/bucket-browser.sources https://packages.bucketbrowser.app/bucket-browser.sources
sudo install -m 0644 /tmp/bucket-browser.sources /etc/apt/sources.list.d/bucket-browser.sources
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install bucket-browser-desktop

Bucket Browser DRM

After adding the same repository, install the standalone app instead (or alongside the desktop app):

sudo apt-get install bucket-browser-standalone

Launch with bucket-browser-drm from a local console with exclusive display ownership. The regular user must belong to the video, render and input groups; log out of all sessions and back in after group changes. A KMS-capable kernel is required. Installation does not change your display manager, device permissions or enable autostart.

Update

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install --only-upgrade bucket-browser-desktop

Both apps install their matching shared core package automatically. No .NET installation is needed. Desktop browsing requires X11 or XWayland. Your settings and keyring credentials are retained on uninstall.
